Located between San Francisco and San Jose, Mountain View brings together people from all over the world. It’s a place where new ideas take shape, families build their lives, and food connects people across cultures. For Ry’s first Silicon Valley location, we wanted a home where our island roots could become part of the neighborhood.

We found it inside Ava’s Market on Castro Street.

Being part of a local market feels familiar to us. It reflects the small mom-and-pop stores we grew up with in Hawaiʻi, where good food fits naturally into your day. Here, we bring that tradition to downtown Mountain View with Hawaiian-style prepared poke, premium fish, and bold island flavors.

During the week, we’re a stop for office workers looking for a fresh, satisfying lunch and coworkers sharing a break together. As the day slows down, Castro Street becomes a place for families to gather, friends to catch up, and couples to enjoy a casual date before exploring downtown. Ry’s belongs in each of those moments—easy to stop into, welcoming, and full of flavor.

Mountain View gives us an opportunity to share the everyday food culture of Hawaiʻi with a community that’s curious, diverse, and open to something new. And being here reminds us that even in a place moving as quickly as Silicon Valley, there’s always room for a good meal and a little aloha.
