Ry's Poke Shack

At Ry’s Poke Shack, every bowl traces back to Kahuku on the North Shore of Oʻahu. It’s where the ocean is part of everyday life, where food is simple but done right, and where the feeling of home shows up in everything you serve. What started in 2020 as a small local setup turned into something much bigger than expected. Ryan and Khannie Ching built it side by side, just the two of them, putting in the kind of hours most people don’t see. Early mornings, late nights, learning as they went and staying consistent with one thing in mind—serve people the right way. Fresh fish, made to order, no shortcuts. The kind of food they grew up eating, shaped by family recipes and the values passed down to them. The community felt that. One person told another, and it kept growing. Before long, that little spot in Kahuku started getting recognized beyond the North Shore. Local features turned into bigger opportunities, and eventually a spotlight on Netflix’s Street Food. Through all of it, the heart stayed the same. Now Ry’s Poke Shack is stepping beyond Hawaiʻi, bringing that same energy to new places. Every new location is meant to feel like a piece of Kahuku. For people from Hawaiʻi, it’s something familiar. For those experiencing it for the first time, it’s a real introduction to how poke is meant to be. The original shack is still there, still going, still where it all started. And whether you’re visiting the North Shore or finding us in your own city, the goal is always the same—make you feel like you’re right here with us.

Born on the shores of Kahuku, Hawaii, Ry’s Poke Shack brings fresh fish, bold flavors, and true island craft to every bowl. Featured on Netflix’s Street Food, rooted in quality, authenticity, and community.
